Jules Chin Greene
Los Angeles-based filmmaker, animator, illustrator, and writer.
Originally from New York City, Jules Chin Greene is an award-winning filmmaker, animator, illustrator, writer, and musician with a special interest in genre storytelling.
She graduated from Oberlin College in 2019 with a B.A. in Cinema Studies and English, winning the Cinema Studies awards for Excellence in Animation and Excellence in Critical Writing.
As a storyteller, she wishes to amplify underrepresented voices and promote a greater diversity within the science fiction, horror, and thriller genres (though she loves all genres as well!). Her work draws upon her experiences as a genderqueer woman of Chinese, Maori, Irish, and Scottish descent, often pulling from traditional folklore and myth to address subjects such as colonialism, post-colonial identity, and race.
She has a soft spot for monsters, gothicism, and swords.
